Delete Account Policy

1. Your Right to Delete Your Account

At SkySim, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This Delete Account Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your SkySim customer account, what data will be deleted, and what information we may need to retain for legal or operational purposes.

By submitting an account deletion request, you acknowledge and agree to the terms described in this policy.

2. How to Request Account Deletion

You can request the deletion of your account using one of the following methods:

  • Email Request: Send an email to [email protected] from the email address registered to your SkySim account. Please include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line.
  • Profile Settings: If available, you may initiate account deletion directly from your account profile or dashboard settings.
  • Customer Support: Contact our customer service team through the contact form on our website.

For security purposes, we may require you to verify your identity before processing the deletion request. This may include confirming your email address, order history, or other account details.

3. What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted

Once your account deletion request is approved and processed, the following actions will be taken:

  • Your account login credentials will be permanently disabled
  • Your personal profile information (name, phone, address) will be deleted or anonymized
  • Your marketing preferences and communication history will be removed
  • Your saved payment methods will be deleted from our active systems
  • Your affiliate referral records (if any) will be anonymized

Please note that account deletion is irreversible. Once completed, you will not be able to recover your account or any associated data.

4. Data We Retain After Account Deletion

In certain circumstances, SkySim is legally obligated to retain some data even after your account is deleted. This retained data will be securely stored and access-restricted. The following information may be retained:

  • Transaction and Order Records: We must retain records of purchases, payments, and refunds for tax, accounting, and legal compliance purposes (typically for 7 years).
  • Customer Support Correspondence: Records of your support requests and our responses may be retained to demonstrate service history and resolve future disputes.
  • Legal and Regulatory Data: Any data related to fraud prevention, legal disputes, or regulatory investigations may be retained as required by applicable laws.
  • Technical Logs: Anonymized or aggregated system logs may be retained for security, analytics, and service improvement purposes.

All retained data will be anonymized where possible, and access will be limited to authorized personnel only.

5. Important Considerations Before Deleting Your Account

Before submitting your account deletion request, please consider the following:

  • Active Orders: If you have any pending or active eSIM orders, we recommend waiting until they are completed or resolved before deleting your account.
  • Refund Requests: Any ongoing refund or dispute claims may be affected by account deletion. Please resolve these matters first.
  • Unused Services: Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund for any purchased but unused eSIM services. Please review our Refund Policy for more information.
  • Re-registration: If you create a new account in the future using the same email address, it will be treated as a completely new account with no link to your previous data.

6. Processing Time

We aim to process all account deletion requests within 30 days of receiving a verified request. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been successfully deleted.

If additional verification is required, the processing time may be extended. We will notify you if this is the case.

7. Third-Party Data Sharing

SkySim works with trusted third-party service providers (such as payment processors and eSIM infrastructure partners) to deliver our services. While we will notify relevant partners of your deletion request where required, we encourage you to review the privacy and data retention policies of any third-party services you have used in connection with SkySim.

Our primary eSIM partner is China Unicom (Cuniq). Activation records held by Cuniq may be subject to their independent data retention policies.

8. Changes to This Policy

SkySim may update this Delete Account Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
