Real-Name Registration
The Telecommunications (Registration of SIM Cards) Regulation (“Regulation”) came into effect on 1st September 2021. Pursuant to the Regulation, prepaid SIM cards that can be used in Hong Kong must complete Real-Name Registration in order to activate or continue the use of telecommunications service from 1 March 2022. Insert the physical SIM card into your mobile phone or download and install the eSIM to your mobile phone to complete the Real-Name Registration and then activate the service. Register Here.
Use of data
The SIM card provides 6GB mobile data service, 5G/4G network. Once your total data usage reach "Fair Usage Level (FUP)" 6GB, the upload/download speed would be reduced and restricted(controlled at 256kbps) and tethering and Peer-to-Peer services would not be available.Requires a mobile phone equipped with VoLTE function.
Data validity period
3-Day. The SIM card will be expired on the 3rd day at 23:59 Hong Kong time since card activation.
Validity period
The prepaid card is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. It will be invaild after expiry.
